“Be Women” is the ministry for the women in the Disciples Community Church. We meet on the first Saturday of each month . Here the ladies from the church and their friends are welcome. We have studied several books together which have enriched our lives for deeper walk with God, helped us to recognize and conquer sin in our lives , encouraged to be that godly wife and mother which god expects us to be. Some of the books we have studied together are Because he loves me – Elyse Fitzpatrick, Respectable sins – Jerry Bridges and Idols of the heart – Elyse Fitzpatrick.
Sometimes we also have Bible studies specially created for women during our meetings. There is a spirit of loving and caring among each other. Older women guide the younger women in their faith and practical matters of daily living.
God had graciously opened door for us to share the gospel and his love to others in society. Some faithful ladies have the privilege of regularly (at least once a month) visiting Christian centre which takes care of HIV patients. It is a joy to share gospel with many of them who are willingly listening and responding to the gospel. Some have surrendered their lives to Jesus and have gone to be with the Lord. Some have left this centre experiencing forgiveness of sins. God has guided us to speak to them his gospel according to their needs and in a way that they will understand it.
